So selfless! And, this one is phonetically spelled (but a great job!)

What a sweet picture! I wasn't there to take this picture or any of the following ones...I ran away! Well, actually, I rode in a car far away to a wonderful retreat. Woody was the only parent for a whole weekend. I had a great time and Woody was ready for me to return. Of course, he also "retreated" to his parents house for part of the time to take the girls to see their cousins.
They played on the swing set, rode bikes and other vehicles outside a lot to get out that energy...
and also played dress up and hide and seek indoors!
As well as anything else that tickled their fancy... :)
Mmm, the valentine cake looks good... they didn't save me a piece, though! :)
One thing that they had to return home for was t-ball evaluation for Natalie. She has a lot of natural talent, so we're signing her up for t-ball this spring. Practices start soon, so we'll be spending a lot of time on the field while she plays.
One neat story that Natalie said yesterday was regarding her cousins. She was talking about how much fun she has with them. They have moved closer to us but are still in another state. She said, "We'll just take turns moving until we are right next to each other." How wonderful that would be!
Natalie definitely had a power packed celebration on her birthday week! We are still trying to recover after all that we did! I am just now putting it in the blog...
The first celebration was taking the girls to a party for Natalie's friend at school, Bodey. He loves Star Wars (he had a Star Wars cake), so we were so glad to be getting out after the snow that we dressed up as Princess Leia on Empire Strikes Back (Hoth costume). We had to watch Star Wars and Empire just to get Natalie familiar with who Princess Leia was. Of course, I could have quoted the movies by heart...
Then, after celebrating with others we were ready to start the celebration for the 6 year old! Wow, it was fun decorating and trying to make her day special. Woody was working, so we started just with one present to begin the day.
Nicole was happy here, she had a token present herself, which she thought should continue I guess!
Natalie opened her cards and her first present. It was a Zhu Zhu pet hamster for both.
Then, later we were able to open presents with Woody at lunchtime.
Unfortunately, Nicole didn't remember that she had already opened her present, so most of the time there was just continuous screaming in the background while Natalie was opening hers.
Then, Grandma & Grandpa came over and the major present was a new bike! Natalie was very much outgrown for her 12 inch bike that she had. It was perfect!
Later on in the week, we had the major blessing of the princess party at the local bounce place. It was a God blessing as we had won it in a contest. Thank you, Lord! The princess was all dressed up, ready to play!
Even the monkey came out to help celebrate, but Nicole started crying so he went away. Natalie enjoyed hugging the monkey, though!
Off to bounce! Everyone had a great time with this!
The princess cake is all ready to eat!
Here are the cousins together. We were blessed to have Prince Nate and Princess Isabelle visiting from a far away land! Thanks, Aunt Emily!
The whole table together with their crowns!
Blowing out all those candles!
We then took the party the next day over to her school where we took horns, a big cookie, grapes, and cheese puffs. The horns were a hit, but were extremely loud! We had to have everyone put them up in their bags for a break! Nicole came and was a guest school mate. We love you, Natalie, and hope you had a great birthday!
