Snow and more snow

Here in the deep south where snow usually lasts less than 24 hours; here we are with snow for days! No scrapers for the road, so we're snowbound here. Praise the Lord for power and heat! And, also for having some food in the cupboards (although I will be in serious need of a shopping trip after this finally melts!). We've gone outside for 30 minute stretches in the mornings and afternoons. Nicole enjoys outside for a while, then wants to go in. Natalie could probably stay out much longer. Since Woody is working, we all are either outside or inside! Natalie loved eating the snow when it first fell. It wasn't too good for snowman making this time, but the girls loved to make snow angels. There was a layer of ice that makes it kind of fun to walk around in, but Nicole isn't quite as agile and gets frustrated when she falls. So, mostly they sled or I pull the sled around the yard. Definitely a workout for Mommy!

Rosco loves the snow too!

2 Great Trips

Wow, right after Christmas we went to see some real gingerbread houses. Much made my little graham cracker creations look really preschool! Maybe next year I'll put a little more effort into it!

Then, off to see the Cousins! The girls were so excited and we had a great short trip. We went around their neighborhood in big wheels and bikes the first night and played inside. Then, playing on their playarea outside before dinner and cooked smores outside afterwards. The weather turned cooler the next day, but mid thirties and 20 mph winds could not stop enthusiasm to play! So, we went to a neighboring playground first. All 4 kids had a great time!

Oh, what adults have to do for their kids!

All 4 cousins together!

We then went on a history hike area that was really neat to think about the history. The beginning of the hike: (my camera malfunctioned in the middle so we don't have any shots).

The end of the hike. The kids either rode a stroller or walked, and were ready for the monument at the end where their energy restored and they played around together. A great time of memories!

What a Miracle!
